* What is Encaustic Art
Encaustic is an ancient technique using molten beeswax mixed with damar resin and pigments. The layers of was are applyed warm and fused together with heat, creating a luminous, durable, and highly tactile surface. The word Encaustis means "to fuse in"
* How do I care for and clean my encaustic painting?
Encaustic is archival and moisture resistant. To maintain its beauty, keep it out of harsh sunlight and extreme temperatures (like directly above a fireplace or an unconditioned attic).
Over time, encaustic can devlop a slight haze called "bloom";simply buff or wipe the surface with a dry, soft microfiber cloth.
* Will the wax melt in my home?
NO! Beeswax melts at 140 degrees F (60C). Normal indoor temperature fluctuations will not affect your artwork.
* Does the artwork come ready to hang?
Yes! All original pieces come framed with pre-installed hardware, so your art is ready to display the moment it arrives.
Can I request custom framing or purchase unframed artwork?
While most pieces are presented in curated floating frames, feel free to contact the studio if you have specific framing preferences or custom display needs.
* How is the artwork packaged for shipping?
Fine art requires careful handling. Each piece is securely wrapped in protective, non-stick materials, cushioned against impact, and boxed in heavy duty packaging to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.
* Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
Yes. If you are local(w ithin 30 miles), studio pickup can be arranged at the time of purchase or by contacting the studio directly.
* What is your return policy?
I want you to love my artwork your space. If you are not completly satisfied, please contact the studion within 7 days of delivery/pickup to discuss a return or exchange.
* Do you accept custom commissions?
Yes! I welcome inquiries for custom sizes, color palettes, or series pieces. Please visit the [Contact Page] to share your idea and start the conversation.
* Can I view a piece in my space prior to purchase?
If you are unsure of scale or color in your room, please send a photo of your wall and the dimensions, and I can create a digital mockup to help you visualize the piece in your home!
